Echinacea purpurea

Tall, first-year flowering perennial in a wide range of colors. 3–4" wide blooms in shades of Purple, cream, yellow, white, coral, and orange can be used as cut-flowers, and make high-impact in the garden. Coneflower also is a wonderful food source for bees and other pollinators.

Sow: Start seeds indoors, lightly cover as light is required for germination. Keep at 20-24°C. Germination can take 20 days and may be slow or uneven. If seeds don’t germinate, cold stratify by placing them at 4°C for 2-4 weeks in fridge, then return to warmth. Repeat until seeds sprout. Transplant out after all danger of frost.
