Zebra Striped Mallow Flower
Zebra Striped Mallow Flower
Malva sylvestris var. mauritiana 'Zebrina'
An old fashioned cottage garden favourite, Zebra Mallow offers a long season of bloom and is closely related to the hollyhock. While technically a perennial, it behaves as a biennial in many areas north of zone 6. Thriving in full sun and well‑drained soil, this easy-care plant produces tall flower spikes 3–4 feet high, with showy pink petals streaked in raspberry. Plants often become bushy by mid‑summer and typically set seed and decline after the first hard frosts in autumn. Hardy in zones 4–9.
